I am looking for an experienced WordPress designer/developer to implement a series of UI and layout refinements on an existing website. The site must remain fully built in WordPress, as the client needs to easily manage and edit content going forward.
The scope focuses on improving visual consistency, typography, spacing, and some functional elements; this is not a full rebuild.
I will provide access to the current website and detailed references for the required changes.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with WordPress - Solid eye for typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy - Ability to maintain clean, professional design standards - Attention to detail is critical (no blurried images, if you know how to use photoshop better, if not I can provide changes) - Quality is more important than speed
The changes are as follows (images, logo and everything else is provided):
Header
- Fix pixelated logo (Italian version) - Reduce overall header height (smaller logo) - Adjust menu font weight (slightly heavier) - Replace language dropdown with a single visible language switch (flag-based)
Home Page / Journal / Articles
- Simplify blog preview metadata to: title, date, text preview - Increase title size relative to preview text - Standardise typography with rest of the page - Use single arrow in “Read more” CTA - Apply same layout to Journal page and related posts in articles
Territory / Stalilab Pages
- Extend colored background sections to full width - Improve internal spacing (padding consistency)
- Examples of clean, professional WordPress websites you have designed or refined - Brief explanation of your approach to maintaining design quality within WordPress
