We publish 1–2 product flyers weekly (printed and distributed in Yiwu + published online and sent to clients) and maintain a website catalog. We need a high-level product person to make our product selection more advanced, more retail-ready, and ahead of other sourcing agencies.
What you will do (ongoing):
Recommend weekly SKUs/categories for flyers and catalogs
Identify new/trending products early for our target regions
Advise on China-advantage categories vs India/Turkey/SEA
Guide flyer/catalog structure and product positioning
Give region-specific direction (UK/EU/US/Middle East → later LatAm)
MUST HAVE (strict):
Background — you must be one of these profiles:
Ex-Retail Buyer / Category Manager (retail chain or importer)
Merchandising / Trend & Product Consultant
Private Label Product Manager
Skills — you must have all of these:
Proven ability to spot trending SKUs early (not 6 months late)
Strong knowledge of retail price ladders and what drives volume
Clear understanding of EU/UK/US vs Middle East differences
Enough China/product knowledge to say: “This category still makes sense from China; this one doesn’t anymore.”
Ability to produce short, practical weekly product shortlists ready to publish
Commercial mindset + fast, clear communication in English
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience with large retailers or import/distribution
Home, lifestyle, non-food consumer goods focus
Seasonal range building / promo bundle experience
Light competitor benchmarking
