Expected duration: 3 - 4 weeks We are looking for an experienced Shopify developer (or agency) to migrate our existing Magento-hosted eCommerce website to Shopify. The goal is to ensure a seamless transition of all products, customers, orders, content, and SEO value, with minimal downtime and a visually polished new storefront.
Scope of Work:
1. Data Migration Migrate all products, variants, SKUs, categories, collections, attributes, and images. Transfer all customer data, order history, and user accounts. Maintain product URLs and meta data for SEO continuity. Ensure all redirects (301s) are set up properly.
2. Design & Theme Implement a modern, responsive Shopify theme that reflects our brand identity. Customize theme layout, colors, and fonts as per our existing or improved branding. Replicate or enhance key pages (Home, Product, About, Contact, Blog, etc.).
3. Functionality & Integrations Integrate necessary Shopify apps for functionality equivalent to Magento extensions. Configure payment gateways, shipping methods, taxes, and email notifications. Ensure integration with CRM, ERP, and marketing tools (if applicable).
4. Content Migration Migrate CMS pages, blog posts, and media (banners, images, videos). Ensure proper formatting and linking in the new platform.
5. SEO & Performance Maintain URL structure or set up SEO redirects. Transfer meta titles, descriptions, alt text, and structured data. Optimize load speed and mobile performance.
6. Testing & Launch Conduct thorough QA testing before launch (desktop & mobile). Verify checkout process, payment, shipping, and tax calculations. Post-launch monitoring and support for 2–4 weeks.
