We’re a small remote team and we run Mastermind9 (www.mastermind9.com) which is essentially a peer support group for small business owners looking to grow their businesses.
We’re in the middle of revamping our website homepage content following a recent audit, and we’re now looking for someone to help us make the site look and behave better on mobile and optimise it for conversions.
The site is built on WordPress with a hard-coded theme, so changes will require some CSS and PHP tinkering. We’re fairly limited in what we can change via the editor, so we need someone who’s comfortable working directly with the theme and layout code.
What we need help with • Making the website more mobile-first, improving layout, spacing, and readability. • Fixing small design and responsiveness issues (fonts, headings, alignment, spacing, etc.). • Improving mobile performance and speed (aiming for green scores on Google PageSpeed Insights for both desktop and mobile). • Making sure the site is easy to navigate and that it’s simple for visitors to book a free intro call (our main call-to-action). • Ensuring the site looks fresh, modern and professional across devices.
We’ve already made some good progress, updated testimonials, clearer CTAs (“Book a free intro call” and a secondary quiz CTA), added WhatsApp chat, and simplified the homepage content. We’re just looking for someone who can jump in and tidy everything up technically and visually.
What success looks like • Green PageSpeed Insights scores for desktop and mobile. • Clean, consistent layout on mobile (no awkward spacing, overlapping, or tiny text). • Fonts, headings and sections styled consistently across the site. • The site feels faster, easier to use and more inviting to book a call.
About you • You’re confident working with WordPress, CSS, and PHP. • You’ve worked with hard-coded themes (not just builders). • You understand responsive design and how to optimise for mobile view and conversion. • You can communicate clearly, explain what you’ve done, and suggest small improvements.
Budget
£150 fixed price for this initial optimisation project.
If we like working together, there’s potential for ongoing work as we continue to evolve the site.
