About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Python Algorithmic Trading Developer to design and implement trading strategies from start to finish. This is a freelance/contract role with clear deliverables and timelines. This role requires a hands-on developer who can understand our trading logic, translate it into accurate Python scripts, and ensure the strategies are reliable, scalable, and actionable. You will work closely with our team to deliver end-to-end solutions, including strategy coding, performance evaluation, and, optionally, automation integration with broker APIs.
Responsibilities:
1.Develop and code 3–4 trading strategies in Python based on our specifications. 2.Backtest and optimize strategies on historical market data to evaluate performance (win rate, profit factor, drawdowns, etc.). 3.Automation support – integrate strategies with broker APIs (e.g., Zerodha, Interactive Brokers, Upstox, etc.) for live auto-trading or semi-auto trade alerts. 4.Provide basic orientation/training session on strategy usage and customization. 5.Deliver clean, modular, and well-documented Python code with reusable components for future strategies.
Requirements:
1.Proven experience in Python for algorithmic trading (Pandas, NumPy, TA-Lib, Backtrader, Zipline, or similar frameworks). 2.Strong understanding of technical analysis, indicators, and risk management concepts. 3.Hands-on experience with backtesting, optimization, and live trading environments. 4.Ability to translate strategy rules and specifications into efficient, executable code. 5.Experience working with broker APIs/websockets for order placement, data feeds, and execution. 6.Good communication skills to clarify requirements and provide timely updates.
