We had a developer build a woocommerce website for our brand selling yoga and pilates equipment. It's a very custom build as there were some key things we needed on the site that had to be created using custom code.
This has caused problems with us having multiple h1 headings on pages and the same h1 across categories and product pages.
For example, https://www.onyx-fitness.com/product-category/yoga-mats/
This page has 3 headings "yoga mats" we only need one.
If you navigate to a product, the URL shows the thickness and colour http://onyx-fitness.com/product/yoga-mats/size/5mm/colour/beige/
But the heading is just "yoga mats" for every product, which is the same as the category. So it competes for ranking.
In this example, we want the product page to ideally say "5mm Beige Yoga Mat" as the h1 instead. We were told by the developer that this is not possible, because of the way it's built. But we want to get a second opinion on that.
Tasks to quote for: 1. Remove multiple headings on category pages 2. Create unique headings for every product based on attributes
We're looking for a developer who can take a look at the backend of the site and fix h1 issues to begin with. Possibly with more work in the future. If you could share your experience and a project you worked on first, I can give site access later once we have found suitable candidates.
