We are a growing YouTube channel that creates witty, well-researched animated history shorts themed “Why it Sucked to Be…” covering quirky, dark, and lesser-known historical tales. We’re looking to hire a talented 2D animator to bring these scripts to life with engaging, polished visuals and smooth character motion.

Responsibilities - Animate ~10–20 min episodes based on provided scripts/storyboards. - Design characters, backgrounds, props in a distinctive, cohesive art style. - Produce keyframes & in‑betweens, including lip-syncing. - Edit and integrate voiceover, sound effects, background music, and motion graphics. - Deliver fully edited videos in YouTube-ready format. - Revise based on feedback, ensuring consistency across episodes. - Collaborate with me on pacing, style, and storytelling.
Requirements - Professional experience in 2D animation and video editing. - Proficient with Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent. - Strong grasp of animation principles and editing for narrative flow. - Portfolio/reel showcasing character animation, lip-sync, long-form storytelling, and motion graphics. - Experience with educational, history, or documentary-style content is a big plus. - Reliable communication, responsiveness, and adherence to timelines.
Project Scope & Timeline - Video runtime: 10-15 minutes - I will provide scripts, voiceovers, and style references - Ongoing production, aiming for 2 videos a month so one video each 2 weeks.
Pay rate: 10-15$ per minute; pay rate will increase over time as we continue working together and BONUSES are REWARDED for outstanding video.
