Backup our current site in its entirety 3. Restore the backup to the new server 4. Upgrade Wordpress and plugins 5. Promote staging content and database to live 6. Test new server's contents 7. Once happy, point the web domain to the new server 8. Post-transfer troubleshooting in case of any issues
