As an instructional designer, key responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, applying proven instructional design models to curate effective online courses and training programs. Working collaboratively, the role involves creating storyboards, simulations and multimedia elements using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Captivate. Instructional designers manage project timelines while ensuring content is aligned with learning objectives and organizational goals.
Revisions and improvements are data-driven. Designers analyze metrics and feedback to continually refine curriculum, tailoring experiences that optimize knowledge retention and skill-building. Strong communication and collaboration are essential to coordinate contributors across departments. Designers facilitate productive partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
An advanced understanding of learning principles and theories underpins this work. Designers apply proven approaches including the ADDIE model to develop customized solutions. Learning management systems organize content and monitor progress toward desired outcomes. Formative assessment further informs content revisions that maximize impact.
The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor's or master's degree in instructional design, education, or related field. They demonstrate experience conceptualizing and producing interactive online courses using authoring technologies. Expertise with LMS/
