I am looking to commission an experienced patternmaker and seamtress to craft a custom dress based on an existing garment. Your skills in pattern grading and drafting will be crucial to transforming this dress into a high-quality, professionally made piece.
This will be an iterative process, with close collaboration between us essential. You will need to create an initial pattern based on the reference dress. From there, I will provide feedback on prototypes and refinements to the design. Through this collaborative approach, I aim to realize my vision for how the dress should take shape.
Attention to detail and an eye for fit and proportion will be key, as the utmost precision is required to flawlessly scale the pattern across sizes. Advanced patternmaking experience with draping, drafting and grading complex women's wear is mandatory. Impeccable hand-sewing and construction abilities are also essential to bring the finished garment to a high standard of quality.
The goal is to achieve a custom dress that is tailored, polished and perfectly fitted. With your proven expertise and a collaborative working relationship.
