We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sponsorship Acquisition Specialist to approach companies and secure sponsorship funding for Blackpool Pride Festival. The event costs over £120,000 to organise, and we are specifically looking for a headline sponsor willing to invest circa £50,000 in exchange for extensive branding opportunities across the festival, including fencing, stalls, screens, online platforms, and more.
Key Responsibilities: Research and identify potential corporate sponsors aligned with Blackpool Pride’s values and audience. Proactively reach out to businesses, presenting sponsorship opportunities and securing funding. Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and tailor pitches to potential sponsors. Negotiate sponsorship agreements, ensuring maximum exposure for sponsors. Maintain strong relationships with sponsors, keeping them engaged before, during, and after the event. Work closely with the event team to ensure sponsor commitments are met. Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in sales, fundraising, business development, or sponsorship acquisition. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to confidently approach and engage with corporate decision-makers. Passion for diversity, inclusion, and the LGBTQ+ community.
