About Mismis
Mismis is a premium fast-food concept that revolutionizes traditional fried chicken with an air-fried approach, offering a healthier alternative while maintaining the rich, crispy texture and bold flavors of classic fried chicken. Designed for the modern consumer, Mismis balances convenience, taste, and health-conscious choices, making it a standout in the fast-food industry.
With a focus on delivery and takeout, Mismis requires innovative, high-quality packaging that maintains food temperature, preserves crispiness, and enhances the luxury feel of the brand—all while remaining cost-effective and practical.
Scope of Work
We are looking for a branding and packaging expert with a strong background in food-safe materials, heat retention, and moisture control for fast food delivery packaging. The ideal candidate will develop a full range of packaging solutions for Mismis, considering factors such as insulation, ventilation, durability, weight, and cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Packaging Innovation & Design • Develop a full set of packaging solutions including: • Resealable food bags (for sandwiches & meal combos) • Custom chicken container (an alternative to the traditional “chicken bucket” design, like a foil-based concept) • Fries packaging (designed to keep fries crispy, not soggy) • Burger boxes (durable, lightweight, and heat-insulated) • Single meal packaging (for combo meals with dividers) • Sauce containers (spill-proof and secure for delivery) • The chicken packaging should be unique, departing from the typical “bucket” concept while ensuring optimal heat retention and crispiness preservation. • Consider various materials (foil-lined, kraft paper, PE-coated board, aluminum, biodegradable plastics, etc.) and recommend the best solutions based on research. • Ensure packaging aligns with Mismis’ branding—luxurious yet cost-effective and visually appealing. 2. Material & Functional Considerations • Research and propose materials that prevent sogginess and maintain heat for delivery. • Incorporate lightweight yet durable materials to minimize shipping costs. • Develop ventilation strategies to allow steam to escape without losing heat. • Ensure leak-proof and grease-resistant designs. • Offer sustainable options without compromising functionality. 3. Technical & Printing Preparation • Create a detailed PDF mockup showcasing all packaging designs, including: • Dimensions and structure breakdown • Material descriptions and reasoning • Ventilation and insulation features • How the packaging fits within the Mismis branding • Deliver print-ready files for production, including dielines, printing specifications, and finishing details (e.g., matte/gloss lamination, foil stamping, spot UV). • Provide material sourcing recommendations with cost analysis. 4. Research & Development • Conduct market research on competitor fast-food packaging and identify innovative solutions for Mismis. • Perform real-world testing to evaluate how the packaging performs in delivery scenarios. • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sustainability guidelines.

✔ Complete packaging design mockups (PDF format) ✔ 3D renders or illustrations showing how each package functions ✔ Detailed material descriptions & sourcing recommendations ✔ Print-ready files for manufacturing (die cuts, artwork, color codes) ✔ Research documentation supporting material and design choices
Requirements:
✅ Proven experience in food packaging design (portfolio required) ✅ Strong understanding of food-safe materials and insulated packaging ✅ Knowledge of cost-effective yet premium packaging solutions ✅ Ability to innovate and provide unique design alternatives ✅ Experience in printing preparation and working with manufacturing partners ✅ Research-driven approach with the ability to optimize packaging for delivery
