We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify Web Designer to create a Chinese version of our global website (www.kym.com) on the Shopify platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing Shopify websites, specifically for the Chinese market, and must be proficient in using Alibaba Cloud as the hosting provider.
The main objective is to recreate our global website’s layout, design, and structure EXACTLY on the Shopify Chinese platform, ensuring the website is SEO-friendly, culturally inclusive, and optimised for the local market. The content must mirror our global website, and the designer must have a deep understanding of Chinese website formation, including store view styles and local market preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development: -Recreate the global website (www.kym.com) layout, design, and structure EXACTLY on the Shopify Chinese platform. -Ensure the website is visually and functionally consistent with the global design. Optimise imagery and content to be culturally inclusive and relevant for the Chinese audience.
Product Catalogue Creation: -Set up and organise the product catalogue on the Shopify platform using the reference website we provide. -Ensure all product details, including descriptions, images, pricing, and categories, are accurately translated and displayed. -Optimise product listings for SEO and local market preferences.
Technical Implementation: -Set up and configure the Shopify website using Alibaba Cloud as the hosting provider. -Ensure the website is SEO-friendly and optimized for search engines in the Chinese market. Implement Chinese store view styles and functionalities.
Content & Localisation: -Ensure all content is accurately translated and matches the global website. -Adapt imagery, graphics, and design elements to align with Chinese cultural preferences and market trends.
Testing & Delivery: -Conduct thorough testing to ensure the website is fully functional, responsive, and user-friendly. -Deliver the completed project within the agreed timeframe.
Requirements:
Experience: -Proven experience in designing and developing Shopify websites. -Strong portfolio showcasing previous work on Chinese websites. -Experience using Alibaba Cloud as a hosting provider. -Experience in creating and managing product catalogues on Shopify.
Technical Skills: -Proficiency in Shopify platform customisation and theme development. -Strong understanding of SEO best practices for Chinese websites. -Knowledge of Chinese website formation, including store view styles and local market preferences.
Cultural Understanding: -Deep understanding of the Chinese market, including consumer behaviour and design preferences. -Ability to adapt imagery and content to be culturally inclusive and relevant.
Communication & Collaboration: -Excellent communication skills to ensure alignment with project requirements. -Ability to provide a detailed project proposal, including timelines, cost breakdown, and deliverables.
