Description: We are seeking a talented and creative video creator/editor to produce high-quality documentary-style videos for our YouTube channel. The videos will be similar in style to popular channels like Wendover Productions or Penguin History, focusing on engaging visuals, smooth transitions, and professional-quality editing.
Key Responsibilities: - Edit videos using provided script and voiceover to create a polished final product. - Research and incorporate high-quality graphics, animations, and stock footage to complement the script and enhance storytelling. - Add engaging transitions, on-screen text, and effects to maintain viewer interest. - Ensure all visuals and audio are properly synchronized and meet high-quality standards. - Deliver videos in a format optimized for YouTube, ensuring proper aspect ratio, resolution, and file size.
Requirements: - Proven experience in video editing, with a portfolio of previous work (preferably in a documentary or educational style). - Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve). Access to a library of high-quality stock footage, images, and graphics. - Ability to incorporate text overlays, motion graphics, and animations effectively. - Strong attention to detail and creativity to bring scripts to life visually. - Familiarity with AI tools and prompts to generate AI clips perferred.
Preferred Skills: - Experience creating content for YouTube and understanding of platform best practices (e.g., pacing, audience retention). - Ability to research and source copyright-free or licensed material as needed. - Familiarity with audio editing to ensure voiceovers are clear and professionally mixed with background music or sound effects.
