Job Description: We are embarking on an upgrade project for our health and wellness website, www.yourhealthandwellness.life, and require a highly skilled WordPress Developer. This multi-phase project demands expertise in API integration, front-end development, gamification, and data analytics. The project is split into two distinct phases, each with its own set of deliverables.
Responsibilities by Phase:
Phase 1: API Integration and Gamification
Fitness Tracker Integration: Connect various fitness trackers (like Apple Watch, Garmin, Polar) to our site via their APIs. This requires a deep understanding of different API architectures and data synchronization.
Video Engagement Tracking: Integrate with Vimeo's API to track user interaction with video content – including play, pause, and watch duration. Gamification Mechanics: Develop a points-based system where users earn rewards for physical activities and watching content. This includes creating algorithms for points accrual and redemption.
Front-End Development: Design and implement a user-friendly front-end, especially the 'my account' page which should feature a progress bar reflecting the user's activities and points.
User Analytics Dashboard: Create a dashboard for company management. This dashboard should display user engagement metrics such as login duration, frequency, and video consumption. The ability to extract meaningful insights from data is crucial.
Phase 2: Multi-Site Development and Scalability
WordPress Multisite Configuration: Transition the platform to support multiple companies. Each company will have its own sub-site with custom branding and content.
Scalability and Performance Optimization: Ensure that the multisite setup is scalable, with optimized performance for handling increased traffic and data.
Required Skills and Experience: - Extensive experience in WordPress development, with a portfolio showcasing previous API integration projects. Proficient in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) with a strong grasp of responsive design and UI/UX best practices.
