Sitemap Optimization:
Diagnose and resolve issues with our existing sitemap, ensuring it is correctly loaded and recognized by Google. We have tried various tools like, Rankmath, and XML Sitemaps, but none have met our needs. And are now back on Yoast Premium.
Develop a robust sitemap solution that can handle the large volume of content without leading to errors or conflicts.
Google News Indexing:
Address the issues related to our Google News indexing.
Ensure that our RSS feeds are functioning correctly, resolving any timeouts or hostload issues as reported by Google News staff.
Server and Hosting Management:
Investigate and rectify any server-side issues that might be contributing to the sitemap and feed problems.
Optimize our Ubuntu/Linux Nginx environment for better performance and stability.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in managing and optimizing sitemaps for large websites, preferably news sites with a high volume of daily content.
Strong understanding of SEO best practices, especially regarding site indexing and Google News algorithms.
Proficiency in working with Ubuntu/Linux and Nginx servers.
Familiarity with common SEO tools and plugins (Yoast, Rankmath, etc.).
Ability to diagnose and resolve RSS feed and hosting issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
