I run a medium-sized shopify website (about 5,000 products in 100 categories). The site is well designed and runs really fast (Pagespeed insight of 98 on desktop and 84 on mobile).
but I just can't get GSC to fetch my sitemaps (have tried many variations. XML and HTML, even Atom /RSS) each time GSC shows the "couldn't fetch" error. Consequently out of 5000 pages, only about 650 are indexed.
But there is a solution to use the google Indexing Api as described here: https://developers.google.com/search/apis/indexing-api/v3/quickstart

But this is a bit beyond my technical knowledge. So I need a developer who can go through this setup and get my pages submitted - and indexed - inside GSC
