A couple of things to clarify before I get into the nitty gritty of the project -
First, the budget is a placeholder, I am aware this will cost more than a few quid.
Second, this project will require regular face-to-face meetings so I am only interested in hearing from people based in the UK or Western Europe (Eire, Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands etc). If you are not in the UK or Western Europe please don't apply as I will just ignore your message.
Third, please don't message me asking if I will consider platforms other than Xamarin or Maui, you will just be wasting your time. My background is C# and .NET so Xamarin/Maui is a logical choice for me.
OK, now that's over, lets get down to it. I am looking for a freelancer or company to work with me on developing a cross platform mobile app written in C# on either Xamarin or Maui. I could write it myself but I will be busy developing the core essentials of the API that the mobile app will use, as well as the website version of the platform (both of which will be in C# on .NET, running on Windows Server 2019 with a SQL backend)
Effectively you will be developing the app to replicate the functionality of the website, the core of which is based on NopCommerce (www.nopcommerce.com) so it would be helpful if candidates are familiar with the NopCommerce source code. This is not a show-stopper however, if you are unfamiliar with NopCommerce but know C# and SQL Server its a doddle to pick up.
Looking to commence work early January, I'd guess somewhere around 3 months of work is involved, but I am flexible with this project where timeframes are concerned.
As I mentioned previously, regular face-to-face meets are required, I have a very informal approach to meetings so if you like to discuss things over a few beers and a curry then that's fine with me. I am based in Cambridgeshire in the UK but get around a bit so my coming to you is not a problem.
As a first step, have a look at the NopCommerce source code and have a think about what it would take to replicate its functionality in Xamarin or Maui, that should give you a good start in putting together a proposal for timescales and budgets.
Thanks for taking the time to read my waffle, I look forward to hearing from any interested parties.
