Expected duration: Ongoing An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Report Writer for a company that specialises in providing businesses with services that are vital for success, such as accountancy, financial and law consultation.
The R&D Report Writer is required to liaise with 'pre-qualified' Research and Development clients to extract information from them regarding their business and business projects, and then use this information to write the reports for submission to HMRC.
You will be required to build relationships with the clients and understand their business in order to coach them to identify what within their work could be classed as R&D.
You will also need to have a basic understanding of company accounts to be able to establish qualifying costs.
You will be required to stay up to date with all changes in HMRC guidance and become the knowledge expert for our client base.
Key Accountabilities
Communicating with clients on the phone, video calls and via e-mail
Asking questions to ascertain what R&D projects have been carried out
Taking the information provided by the client and translating this into the technical R&D report for submission to HMRC
