I have a large media website https://bbsradio.com. We've been creating audio and video productions for 1000 different shows since 2004. I work with senators, doctors, lawyers, celebrities, all over the world. Last year, we upgraded our Drupal 7 site to Drupal 9. When we upgraded our website to a new server and upgraded from Drupal, the last team did things wrong. I've lost confidence in their abilities to do good work. They never check their work. I am looking for a coder almost exclusively into the foreseeable future. We recently upgraded our main server to a dedicated server with 128 MB Ram, three 12 TB hard drives, using UNIX and Direct Admin. We also have 2 other servers! The site has a lot of mp3 and mp4 files, perhaps 70,000 to 100,000. When they transferred the files from the old server to the new server, the transfer resulted thousands of shows not capable of being played. Mp3 files came up in text fields and jpg fields, etc... Most of that was fixed, but alas many mp3 files are still unavailable. We've kept the old server with all the files, and made backups of the core, etc... The work required will include:
1. Find and make sure all mp3s and mp4s are attached to the "Archive Description" nodes correctly, so they all work! I can give you their location in the old and new servers.
2. Create new Video/Audio player (that is better and more efficient).
3. Update the Statistics dashboard and add data from above new players after they are installed.
4. Audio Feeds (RSS Feeds) require SUB CATEGORIES (within the main itunes categories)
5. Video Feeds (MRSS feeds) appear to pull in mp3 and not mp4 files (the media: content)
6. Modules all need to be updated
7. PHP issues need to be fixed
8. The new 12 TB Hard drive we just installed on the server can now be used for mp3 and/mp4 files
9. Talk Show Include nodes on the Home page need to change based on timing (so the correct show appears on station 1 and 2 every hour)
10. Audio/Video compression software, caching and other elements can be utilized to service the audio and video files faster/efficiently
11. Enable PHP APCU CACHING
12. Upload Progress can be enabled/installed to show file upload progress
13. A couple quick CSS changes!
Once the above has been accomplished we will move on to DESIGN CHANGES, AUTOMATING fields and creating Video apps for Kindle, ROKU, Apple TV, etc. and Audio apps!
