I have social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. I use a service provided by OneUp to automatically post news articles from specified RSS feeds to these accounts on a set schedule.
I want to host my own solution that solves the problems that I have with OneUp.
I would like to use Amazon AWS for hosting. The best possible solution uses AWS Lambda for hosting and running the code. If that is not possible, then a small LightSail instance would be acceptable.
Current problems with OneUp -
OneUp does not include an image from the news article (if available) with its posting.
OneUp does not include a link to the full article within its posting.
OneUp does not grab the article title and/or intro text of the article and shorten it to match the character restrictions (ex. twitter).
OneUp does not include hastags for the posts.
Looking for a creative way to solve these problems.
Perhaps an end to end solution that formats the posts and then posts to my channels?
Maybe something that handles the formatting of posts and then makes that available as an RSS feed that I can give to OneUp?
Open to ideas.
Final deliverable should include finished code ready to run, all source code fully commented, access to any dependencies or other software that will be required to run.
