Expected duration: 3 - 4 weeks We are looking for a rockstar front-end developer to support our studio with a large Front End Development project.
The project is centered around a virtual experience for a museum/gallery. We are looking to create a fully immersive javascript powered experience that includes:
- ability to move through a 3D environment (we will provide this render). Previously we have used Marzipano, however for this project we want the experience to be more fluid (akin to scrubbing through a video). The Marzipano transition between scenes is too jumpy. The user should feel like they are genuinely moving in a 3D space and not clicking through Google Street View. Ideally this would be navigated through scroll. We think this can be achieved through scrolling in GSAP. - Hotspots to appear with information when the user reaches a certain trigger in the space - ideally they need to track along a path to 'anchor' to parts of the video - Audio triggered when the user reaches a certain space in the environment - Interactivity - finding out more about objects in the museum, hearing audio clips, seeing a 3D model (perhaps using three.js), reading text, downloading high res imagery. This can be through a modal display. - Show the user where they are in the space through a HUD style map
This project will need to be built using a modern front end framework; though we have no preference (Angular/Vue/React).
Our dev team can help populating the space - we are looking for someone who can build the framework and skeleton for us, with a component based mindset.
Full brief will of course be provided. Initially we are looking to find someone who can start fairly quickly and who can advise on what is realistic from our wish list given the time constraints.
