1) Completely fluent in British English (Mother Tongue preferred) 2) Has studied English at graduate and/or post graduate level 3) Can display a real grasp of the subtleties of the English language
It would be nice to have someone with 4) At least five years experience within corporate life, preferably within the Learning and Development department 5) A background in psychology or understanding of Behavioural Development
The task is very simple for someone with this kind of background. Others may struggle!
I need to develop two lists of simple, single sentences. Each sentence has a maximum 15 words, minimum 8 words. Each list contains 50 sentences One list should contain intrinsic/self-focused sentences, and the other list should contain extrinsic/observer by others sentences and be behaviourally based. This might sound simple but understanding what is a behaviour and what is something else is the subtelty of this project. It is only a behaviour if it can be observer by someone else. All the sentences should relate to the actions of someone with a managerial position in a professional working environment. ~ Here are some very simple examples ...
a Mary listens carefully to others b Stuart sets standards of behaviour that are easy to understand and follow c Mike sticks strictly to timescales d Helen can be trusted completely to meet her goals e Peter is known as an expert in his field f Georgie thinks deeply about things before reacting g Fred wraps up every meeting with a clear summary of actions and responsibilities
You need to let me know which of the above are intrinsic, which are extrinsic, and of the extrinsic ones which are clearly behaviours and which do not fit either classification. To prove that you have understood the concept I would like you to add three example sentences of each.
I have been doing this a long time, and I know that a high proportion of you will not even read all the way through, so to prove that you have read and understood, please start your message with the word BLACKPOOL. This is my method to filter out time-wasters and generic responses. I don't read anything that does not start with the appropriate word.
Best of luck and really looking forward to hearing from you Chris
