We hope that you are all doing well during these challenging times?
Mind Allies is a non-profit organisation founded in 2019 that focuses on providing support for people suffering from mental health.
We are creating new content for our social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube for Mental Health Awareness Week. This takes place from 10th – 16th May 2021 and the theme this year is 'Nature'.
The mental health foundation states that during long months of the pandemic, millions of us turned to nature. Our research on the mental health impacts of the pandemic showed going for walks outside was one of our top coping strategies and 45% of us reported being in green spaces had been vital for our mental health.
We are looking to bring together a few people that are interested in recording video content such as sharing your own mental health story, how you have been coping, what steps did you put in place to make sure your mental health doesn’t decline, things that motivated you, sharing a few goals you’ve set for yourself and your overall personal coping tips & coping advice.
We are looking for people that have previously suffered from mental health or have got some professional background or experience. Also topics such as addiction & disordered eating and their effects on mental health. We want to cover a range of mental health conditions and topics, so we are open to any other issues that impact an individual’s mental health.
Each day we will be focusing on different topics for example: Addiction, Bi-polar, Schizophrenia, Anxiety, Depression etc.
We want to raise awareness and support for individuals suffering with their mental health. We want to spread kindness and love for everyone and most importantly let individuals know that we are all in this together and that we can go through this.
Due to COVID-19, we would ask participants to record their videos from their homes (in a well-lit space). As the theme is ‘Nature’ you can be creative and bring props in your video or you can record somewhere outside as long as your voice is clear to understand in the recording.
The deadline for this project is 26th April 2021.
I am looking forward to hearing your proposals and getting to know a bit about yourself and your personal journey.
