Expected duration: 1 day or less I recently moved my website to a new domain. It's a Wordpress managed site hosted by GoDaddy. GoDaddy tech support carried out the domain move without being asked to do it. Now they say it's not possible to set up 301 redirect notices because of it being a Wordpress managed site (rather than cPanel). There's also an issue because the SSL from my old site is now attached to the new one. As a result my SEO is tanking and I need a third party to come in and sort out GoDaddy's mess.
- Set up 301 redirect notices - I don't believe that it's not possible just because I have a Wordpress managed site. - Advise on whether I should remove the old domain from Google. - Ensure that my new site is being indexed by Google. - Basically do some damage control and mitigate any negative impact on my SEO.
I've been told it should be no more than an hour's work.
