Expected duration: 1 - 6 months I am trying to promote as widely as possible a charity fund raising campaign that I have created online (see http://donorbox.org/sbsd) . I need to target the most likely audience - i.e. people that fit into a category of potential donors, people that care about children's health and welbeing, the rights of the disabled, poverty alleviation, charities, etc and who are based primarily in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Scandinavia etc.
I have promoted it as extensively as I can through my own substantial networks on LinkedIn especially and also Facebook and Twitter (and instagram to a small extent), but have really done all I can with this now except for constant repetition to the same audience (and therefore unlikely to achieve anything more than I have already). I have also paid for a few promotions here on PeoplePerHour but, to be honest, with a zero effect.
Email campaigns are only successful if the email addresses one has are appropriate to the target audience and likewise blanket social media posts do not seem to have much effect (although I am continuing to do this on all my networks with different posts and pictures and using Buffer.com to post at various times of the day).
So, I am at somewhat of a standstill now and not sure what further I can do. My instinct suggests that I ought to exploit Twitter, but I dont really know how to. My own "following" is small and in any event not geared toward charity etc. I should add that I am a professional consultant with 35+ years of wide international experience across a broad section of industries, but am managing this charity campaign on a purely voluntary basis and while I am stuck at home during lockdown, unemployed and with nothing to do! But I have committed to it and the charity itself and really want to do something to raise more than the poultry £500 I have manged to attract in the last 3 months of non-stop work day and night!
And I should also add that my budget for the assistance I am seeking is very small. The charity themselves have no funds to invest into their marketing and I too can not afford to pay for any more than I already have. Currently my budget is just £25.
Is there anything you can do? Can you, perhaps, run some kind of campaign to promote the fund page and its cause to a large Twitter audience in such a way as to both attract donations and a good following? Do you know how to target the right groups and person profile to maximise the chances of donations? Or do you perhaps have specific donor centric databases you can target?
By the way, you can also view these links below as part of any research you might want to do in advance of your reply? https://www.facebook.com/donate/423100238948195/ https://www.gofundme.com/manage/The-Support-Bridge-for-Students-with-Disabilities (note, this was the first campaign page I created, but am now focusing instead on the donorbox site, which seems the better of the two). https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/do-you-care-children-africa-how-often-think-health-hunger-ryan https://www.linkedin.com/in/dominicryan/ (my LinkedIn profile where you should be able to access the many various posts I have submitted to the public, my contacts and members of about 40 groups with a potential combined readership of millions - the results from which amount to just two donations!) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnQ-L-TaJPr7MxDh3w00XOQ (the YouTube channel I have created and where you can see a few videos relating to the charity, SBSD) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnQ-L-TaJPr7MxDh3w00XOQ/videos My Twitter ID is 1dominicryan
