Hello - I need some social media research and I'm hoping that the fantastic social media experts here might be able to help, given you are practising the art of social marketing every day.
I need to give a presentation soon to a collection of travel industry professionals who are regular social media users, most of whom are also small business owners (e.g. travel agents or owners of small hotels). Fundamentally they are looking to learn new ways of using and harnessing social media. It falls to me to give them some ideas to this end. I would like to offer them a series of insights, ideas and small case studies surrounding the latest aspects of social media - principally Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat (although Snapchat is less of a priority). I will write the presentation, so what I'm looking for is some reference material that I can use to create the presentation.
The deliverables are:
* A bullet point list of interesting, stimulating insights of relevance to this audience that might encourage them to take action - for example, consider separating your private from your public work profiles, choose what time to post wisely, consider engaging third parties to help you - like here! Or tools that you should be using, that sort of thing * Inclusion of some generic high level metrics (e.g. growth of social media usage during the pandemic, number of messages posted or volumetric metrics) * Some brief case studies - links to blog or article posts online highlighting how some small businesses have used social media during the pandemic - or similar As an output from you, I'm expecting perhaps 2 pages of bullet points, 1 page of metrics, 1 page of case study links, something like this.
I recognise this is somewhat 'wooly' so if you have questions, please just ask.
