Art project Lyrical Gravity is looking for Middle/Senior Unity WebXR developer to take part in development of hybrid (offline and online) performance that will use WebXR technology.
You will be working in team with: Artist/Art director Production manager 3D artist / Environment artist 3D animator
The technical description of an art project: Project will include multiplayer experience using the server part which would also be your part of the work to implement. 7 users maximum. Users could talk to each other using microphones. Audio should be spatial. The interactive part will be defined later on and working in this project you will be able to contribute your ideas to the project and design it together. Currently we could say that the experience will definitely include different interactive features about interaction between users and also features connected to audio level. Generally speaking, space will be changing during the experience depending on different parameters (including microphone signal and movement of users).
Platforms: WebXR in VR headset using browser in VR. Main target devices are Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2 Desktop experience in browser Maybe mobile experience using browser
VR: Users should be able to see the space and avatars. Users should be able to move in 6DOF using locomotion movements and teleporting. Reference for movement - Mozilla Hubs. Hands should also be moving in 6DOF.
Desktop: Users will be able to move in the space using WASD controllers and look around using their mouse. Reference for movement - Mozilla Hubs.
Required skills: Minimum 2 years of experience of working in Unity engine, JavaScript, HTML5, C#, VR development, WebXR development Experience in multiplayer English level - minimum is upper intermediate talking Knowledgeable about 3D pipeline and optimizing deliverables Portfolio of previous projects is required (video material + text info about your role and part in these projects is perfect to present you previous experience)
Desirable: Experience in working with effects, particle systems, scene composition, light composition, 3D modelling, shaders, experience in art projects, experience in performative art projects, interest in audio visual art, sensibility for design and user experience, generative/procedural graphics is big plus.
Soft skills: The process would be agile and could be changing along the way of development. One of expectations to the developer is agility and readiness to work creatively meaning trying different ideas together.
