Background
International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) takes place on Tuesday 23 June 2020. It is a celebration of the contribution made by women the world over to all forms of engineering.
“International Women in Engineering Day is now in its seventh year, the 2020 campaign will be a year that is very different to the norm and we're asking for your help to achieve this! INWED is an international awareness campaign which raises the profile of women in engineering and focuses attention on the amazing career opportunities available to girls in this exciting industry.
In 2020 we want to reach as many people as possible. If you have friends, relatives or colleagues in other countries we're asking you to aim to involve them in your celebrations. They don't need to be engineers, just appreciate the contribution that women engineers make. Taking place annually on 23 June, it's your day, so get involved and help us #ShapeTheWorld this year!”

ICE International Campaign
ICE is conducting a photo campaign leading up to 23 June 2020 and wants to produce a short film of the submitted photos that will:
1. Capture the spirit of INWED.
2. Reflect the international diversity of our members.
3. Inspire more females to think about civil engineering as a future career.
4. Highlight positive messaging during Covid-19 crisis, showing that female engineers are staying positive, adapting and succeeding in the face of adversity.
We have asked female international ICE members to submit photos of themselves as part of a social media campaign and use the photos to create a short photo montage film.
The images will feature female engineers in front of any civil engineering project and/or holding flashcards with inspirational messages.
We do not yet know how many photos will be returned and appreciate this will impact on how the video will be edited.
Output
Completed short film clip of about 1 minute, showing each photo and pulling them together into a montage or collage (for example a sequence of photos arranged to spell out ‘ICE’ etc.). We will rely on the skills of the person editing to use their skills and techniques to make it interesting and engaging. If you have examples of how the video might look that you have previously produced or can work towards please let us know.
• It should be set to an upbeat soundtrack (costs to be included in budget)
• Film should be suitable to be shared on social media platforms.
• The editing work needs to completed by 19 June so it can be published on ICE channels on 23 June 2020.
• ICE will provide an intro and outro to be used.
• The video must be supplied as an editable file and in a standard usable format, e.g. MP4, avi or wmv.
• The supplied images cannot be used in other videos created by the supplier.
• ICE will own the finished video.
