Kultur1.se is a complex (and old) web site, based on PHP and MySQL. We want to streamline it, update with modern code and move to Wordpress for sustainability. Plugins (or other relevant techniques) will be needed for custom functionality, please browse www.kultur1.se for reference. Our team will be available for detailed discussions and code support (PHP, DB etc), however we do not have Wordpress expertise inhouse so that is the main focus for this job. Page layout should be similar to existing site.
Preferably we use a two databases, one for specific contents (referred to as Kultur1-DB) and one Wordpress DB for the WP installation. Your input is appreciated! Also we would like input on best ways to build the site; Pages or entries? Plugins? React? etc?
Job will be broken down to several milestones.
MS1 / FRAMEWORK;
- Dev on our server, temporary domain name (this is set up and ready)
- Wordpress DB but also external Kultur1-DB for site contents (?)
- Some kind of magazine / newspaper theme, budget max 100 USD (we will buy the theme, or create separate job for the development, so the cost is not included in this job).
- Please feel free to suggest any theme (responsive layout) that is suitable, or develop own theme which will be paid separately
- Use as few 3rd party plugins as possible, keep the installation clean
- No recurring cost
- Propose and decide methods and techniques
